We Have to Do That Again!

I asked Brook if I could post this picture and she said, Quote: Sure-any except the one where my eyes shine red and my tongue is hanging out are great! Unquote. I hear and obey Brook. I will also keep my promise to CEO not to publish his picture because of that witness protection thing. Oh damn, I didn't mean to tell that either.
Oh well, pictures never tell the real story anyway. In fact Brook is twice as beautiful in real life as she is with my arm around her encouraging her to smile. I have proof because I made a cute one of she and Derek when she didn't realize she was being photographed. I think it's especially amazing because it's the morning after around the breakfast table. When I say morning I actually mean around noon. The only people up earlier than that were Evie and I.
We played pirate and I then I spun her around in the giant bowl, stopping just short of her barfing up her berries and yogurt on me. Evie has a lot of, well, energy. I'm sorry we forgot to take a picture of she and my husband watching TV. I couldn't tell which of them was having more fun watching and singing along to Christmas videos.CEO did get quite a few of my Eva and her adorable Marc, so I'm including the one I like best.
M@ it turns out was surprised and surprising. He was shocked to find he had a great time and everyone who had not met him was expecting someone more abrasive, not the charming fun M@ that arrive. I would publish his pic but you can see it on Animal Mind and I seem to be photo placement challenged this evening.

I will leave you with the final menu. I would have put it up sooner but I didn't decide on everything until Saturday morning.

  1. You are incredible Elaine-and so was the party.
I am amazed we all looked so good the morning after-and were still smiling!
Evie does have a lot of...energy.
As was mentioned, "It's a good thing she's so beautiful-could you imagine putting up with this from an ugly child?"
The food was delicious-you went above and beyond my friend!
Can't wait to see you all again.

  2. Judy and I had an amzing time. I cannot thank you and Wrenn enough for a magical weekend. Who knew that Brook was a philosopher Queen, or Derek a quiet business wizard, or M@ a perfect gentleman? Or you a gourmet cook? We must do this again soon!

  6. I'm glad you all had a good time. We'll see where I'm at in life the next time you decide to have a get together as to whether or not I'm able to make it then.

Hope life is treating you well over there!

  8. You often leave that impression in your writing. Knowing that you are a good writer I have to assume that's what you're trying to do. Now we've all found you out darlin'.
