Ahaa, the cold gray light of dawn, my favorite time of day

When everyone tells you the same thing, chances are there may be some truth in what they’re saying. I told all three children that I had officially given my husband notice of my plans to leave, and they are all solidly behind me. My brilliant middle child said, without prompting, “Don’t let him talk you out of it again.” We sat over coffee at 5 AM and he talked me down from the tower of guilt I had climbed like some victim in a low budget horror film. My feet are back on the ground now and I am determined to make my escape in a more dignified manner.
