He didn't write it but he did inspire it

I offered my husband the position of guest blogger this week as I have had little time to post. He never really said anything but I am accustomed to that. He has perfected the art of the non-answer, appearing to speak but saying nothing definitive.  Last night however he mentions to me, “I think I might have something blog worthy. Remind me to tell you about it later.” When I finally settle in to listen he starts telling me about a meeting at his office and I am prepared to stifle a yawn. Now my husband has a female boss, a very attractive black woman who is most gracious and business like. I like her quite well and he gets along famously with her and the other ladies in his office. They are quite frank with each other at times, but today was not going to be one of those days.

The lovely lady boss has positioned her blackberry on the desktop right beside my husband but of course it is muted during their meeting. On the other side of my husband is another coworker, also female. The discussion they were having was no doubt of sealing wax and kings or some such thing that state bureaucrats talk about to fill up their day and use our tax dollars wisely.  Suddenly the phone on the desktop interrupted the proceeding by buzzing and moving slightly on the table. For some reason he could not identify my husband found it disconcerting. He could not focus on the conversation at hand but kept staring at the blackberry. It went off again, rattling against the desk and he had a light bulb moment.  He nearly put his hand over his mouth to keep from saying, “Oh, that sounds just like my wife’s vibrator.”

Needless to say he doesn’t remember much about the rest of the meeting.

Yeah, I couldn't stop my grin! I had a long day, so seeing refreshing post always makes me happy! I would follow you Spellbound, but I don't see were I can--I'll visit you often. Cheers!

  4. Now you're telling what marriage is really all about. Thinking about your partner when they aren't there as well. Very nice.
